Philippe began his legal career at the Jeantet firm, while also teaching at Paris II University.
Recruited in New York by the Skadden Arps firm after completing his Master of Laws (LL.M.) at Columbia University, he returned to France in 1992 to help open the Paris office of this American firm.
In 1994, he founded the SBL firm.
He specializes in corporate law (corporate law and other business structures) and tax law, which he practices for French and international clients.
In parallel, he dedicates his expertise to his commitments to defending human rights and combating racism and antisemitism within INACH, which he chairs, and LICRA, where he is vice-president. He is a specialist in freedom of expression.
